Having a place to call your own, to build memories, to feel complete… that’s something we appreciate the importance of. It’s why, at Trussle, we’re passionate about making home ownership more affordable and accessible to everyone.

As one of the most exciting fintech scale-ups in the UK, we’re leading the charge in revolutionising the journey of owning a home. We’ve started with mortgages, making the process transparent, simple, and intuitive. Our customer-first approach has made us the highest rated online mortgage broker on Trustpilot, and key partnerships with the likes of Zoopla have helped us reach millions of homeowners across the UK. But with £10 billion wasted each year by homeowners being on the wrong mortgage deal, we’re far from done.

We have big ambitions, and this is reflected in the funding position we’re now in - nearly £20 million from carefully selected institutional investors including Goldman Sachs, Propel, and LocalGlobe - investors that have backed the likes of IHS Markit (Nasdaq), coinbase, DocuSign, Citymapper, Improbable, Lovefilm (acquired by Amazon), Transferwise and Zoopla (London Stock Exchange). We work in autonomous teams of which each team is equipped with the talent and tools required to perfect acquisition, retention and the scalability of our product as follows:

Acquisition
This is all about optimising for smart growth by understanding the demand patterns of qualified leads. Partnerships have proved very resilient as regards our growth, so working on integrations, getting exposure to companies such as uSwitch and Zoopla could be part of your day
Retention
This could be guiding new prospects into securing a first mortgage, or taking our existing leads on to the next transaction on our platform. CRM and marketing development experience could be a plus
Scalability
To make mortgages more affordable and accessible to our customers, today and in the future, our business must scale - meaning world class infrastructure and developer operations amongst other things

Engineering - What are we building Trussle on?

Current technology stack is primarily a Node.js shop with a Single Page Application front end. Our front end is written in React and Angular(1.x), with SASS as our preferred CSS extension language. Our backend JSON API is backed with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch databases. We have recently built and will continue to build on Go microservices. We use AWS to host all of our services. CI/CD is handled by Jenkins, with automated docker builds and staging deploys.

General process and timeline

As a rule (unless specified otherwise), we’ll review and interview applicants on an ongoing basis.

Please note that, due to a high number of applicants, we won’t be able to provide individual feedback at the initial application stages of processes. We will, however, always endeavour to email you regarding the outcome of your initial application, and provide additional resources as regards your job search, as applicable. Once you’re at advanced stages of this process (i.e. at phone and face to face interview) we’ll use our best endeavours to provide considered feedback to all.
